This preemie/newborn hat and boots set was made on a whim, thus the name. One thing I love about crochet is the many stitches you can work with, so I decided on the bobble stitch. This is a set you can create in just a few hours (without interruptions) and even if you get interrupted, you can still complete it within a day.
It’s ok if you sell items you made using LM patterns. And I’d really love it if you mentioned it was from LM.
And please, do not sell or mass produce LM patterns- (the only exception is if you are donating the items made to charity)
Thanks. You can read more on LM policy here.

Since the age of 10, I have enjoyed creating beautiful things especially crocheted items. I retired 9 months ago and donating to worthy causes such as twins club, assisted living facilities and NICU are of great interest to me. Your lovely patterns will be very helpful.
Hi Rose! I was given some very soft yarn, so was looking for preemie patterns in order to make some for my local nicu. Yours looks lovely, can't wait to try it. Thank you very much!
That would be wonderful. Thank you for sharing that.
The bobble Patten is lovely but it is very small. Should I double it for a regular newborn? Thanks
That could work. You can try going up a hook size.
Thank you for this lovely pattern. I do have a question: In rounds 6-9, do I keep doing ch2 or ch1?
It would be Ch 2, since it is a repeat of Row 5. You're welcome.

Just finished this amazing set . Thank you so much for the generosity of a free pattern. Made it for a friend.
I'm so glad to know that. It was generous of you to have gifted this set.
Just finished hat- so adorable!
Thanks for your generous post!

I am so glad to hear that. Thank you!
Dear Rose,
I love this, I make baby hats for my local hospitals; mostly for the preemies as it is so hard to find things for them. I will not sell, but will gladly give the hats away. Sometimes I use the same stitches and make tiny blankets with lots of prayers for them too.
Once again, thanks.
J
