The world of crochet is so huge and captivating (oh yea, I get captivated a lot). Being a crochet designer as well, my mind is always brimming with ideas for the next project and when I see another designer’s work that I love and would want to make for myself or someone, it’s hard to take out time to do so.
This designer focus is my way of paying respect to the fantastic designs and crochet designers out there who have been here before me, inspire me in some way or are just sharing their love of crochet.
The Mock Bobbles beret by Undergroundcrafter is a joy. I absolutely love it. And being a sucker for textured items, it called to me. It has the qualities you would want in a beret- chic, trendy, pretty… haha, I’m not so good with adjectives, but if I can call a beret pretty, then I mean it.
What I used:
- 5.5 mm hook (as used in the pattern)
- 1 skein, Alize Cotton Gold Plus (worsted weight yarn; 100g/3.53oz, 200mt/361yds; colour 149- lot 102570)
You should hook one up for yourself or a friend or child. It comes in 3 sizes and the best part? it is FREE. Get the Mock Bobbles beret pattern
