Who loves making quick and simple baby items? I do. This really easy textured hat is a version of the Ripples Slouchy beanie I made a while back in adult size.

When I first started crocheting, it was all baby items. I often received orders for them and there always seemed to be a baby born around me, so it was a great opportunity to gift them while perfecting my craft. Even though I don’t make them often anymore, they still give me a warm feeling and sense of accomplishment.
One thing I really love about this hat is the wavy texture it gives and it’s also stretchy. The adult version fits teen to adult. While that version features a pom-pom, you could decide to leave this one bare or add a pom pom as well.
And if you’re a beginner crocheter, you’ll find this pattern easy as it is a 4 row repeat and easily cutomisable to any size. This baby hat can be worn slouchy style or beanie style, all you need do is fold it up. See the adult size for how I wore mine. The sizes included here are preemie, 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 months old.
It’s ok if you sell items you made using LM patterns. And I’d really love it if you mentioned it was from LM.
And please, do not sell or mass produce LM patterns- (the only exception is if you are donating the handmade items made to charity)
Thanks. You can read more on LM policy here.
