If you have made it this far in the crochet-along, I am stoked to see your makes, and I am exceedingly glad and thankful for your time. If you are just joining us, welcome! See part 1, part 2 and part 3 to begin.
You will notice that not all the blocks are the same size- that’s to be expected due to different designs, tension and notions sewn on them.

- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker (may be needed to identify the Chain 1 spaces)
Stitches/Abbreviation
SC- single crochet

I love this idea and have been asked to make one by a local carer for a client. It has worked up very fast and I am now at the joining stage. I am a little confused about the ‘&4’ and ‘&3’ in the instructions for part 1 and part 2 of the joining instructions. Could you enlighten me? I am very excited to finish this.
Thank you for taking the time to make and share this, it will make a big difference to dementia sufferers x
Rose says
3&4 in part one and 2&3 in part two of the joining refers to the labelled number on the photos. I hope this helps? If you stil need clarification please let me know. Thank you.

This is a great idea. I work at a company that manages Nursing Homes and we have memory care units at several of the homes. Our company has a brown bag craft lunch, once a month, where we make items for our residents for the holidays. I plan on implementing this idea right away. Thanks for creating this simple pattern.
