Hello there! I am excited to share this Around the Post Crochet Square with you.
After more than a month away from the blog, I feel ready to come out of ‘hibernation’, ha. Really, the time away has been full of reflection and so many ideas that I’m not sure how to execute them or how long it will take to bring them to light. Suffice to say I will take things in my stride.
Crafting is such an amazing outlet for a lot of people to cope with the world’s situation right now. And I thank God everyday for blessing me with hands that love to craft and a mind that loves to dream up craft ideas- crochet-wise.
This Around the Post Square was a project I started during one of my late night crafting sprees. It is such a fun pattern that can be made into anything you can think of- blankets, tops, bags, whatever else you can dream up. While I’m not a fan of working with/joining little pieces to create a larger project, I’ve found the results pleasing.
The Sweet Colours Scarf and Reversible African Flower Tote were both made by joining smaller pieces, and I was extremely pleased with the results.
The Around the Post Square is super easy to customize depending on your needs, all you need do is either use a heavier yarn weight and/or add a few more rows and you’re done.

I really love this pattern but have read it twice and still haven’t seen how many stitches u r using to form ur magic circle as that is very important to me so if u would please include those stitches in the MC from now I think it would help crochets like me to be able to follow The directions even more clearer.
Thanks
Merry
I usually do not start the Magic Ring with a chain, the pattern is updated now. Thank you for letting us know.
